Tom Cox (B.1990) is a contemporary British painter and curator whose work captures the essence of the urban and natural world. His unique approach to painting evokes nostalgia, escapism and sanctuary, inviting the viewer to experience and reflect upon unique moments captured in time.

Influenced by Impressionism and contemporary art, Cox works in the traditional medium of oil on canvas, using a variety of layering techniques, tools and colour combinations to create striking and dynamic compositions.

Tom studied at Camberwell College of Art, London (2011) and completed a BA in Fine Art at Northampton University (2014). His work has since garnered critical acclaim, and has been featured in prestigious publications such as The Guardian, Artists and Illustrators Magazine, and the Evening Standard.

You can find Tom at his studio and contemporary gallery in Crystal Palace, South London, where he continues to develop his painting series and curate thought-provoking exhibitions with some of the U.K.’s best contemporary artists.
